ANR Development Announces Dutchtown Pointe

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Wednesday, July 27th, 2022

Easton, PA: Today, ANR Development Company, a real estate development and construction firm, made a major step forward in its most recent project - Dutchtown Pointe. A 34-unit Mixed-Use building housing apartments and commercial space for residents of Easton. The building will provide thirty-four (34) apartment units in Easton’s historic Dutchtown Neighborhood.

The project had already received the approval of the Planning Commission, approval of minor variances from the Zoning Hearing Board, and the general recommendation of the Historic District Commission (HDC). Today, City Council approved the HDC’s recommendation. Final construction plans will now be submitted to the city to receive permits. ANR Development anticipates construction on the project to commence in late Summer 2022. The project is scheduled for completion in Winter 2023.

The exterior of the project was altered to conform with Historic District Commissioner comments from the October 2022 meeting. The project consists of the renovation of the 2.5 story frame building at 34 S.6th Street and the adjacent new multi-family residential structure. Both the South Sixth Street and Lerch Court elevations are designed to appear as separate buildings following the original lot lines within the block. The Building will contain a mix of two bedroom, single bedroom, and studio apartments, as well as approximately 1700 square feet of commercial space.

According to Monty Kalsi, ANR’s owner and lead developer, Dutchtown Pointe will feature ample amenities including covered parking below the building, elevator access to upper floors, community space, generous outdoor living terraces & spacious private balconies, modern kitchens, in-unit laundry, video intercom and keyless entry.
Architect Jeff Martinson stated that the project meets or exceeds the intent of contextual infill design within the Easton Historic District and strikes a balance between the need for development and growth while respecting the surrounding neighborhood. Upper floors are stepped back from the front and rear property lines to minimize building heights and to retain the rhythm of the streetscape. Exterior facades consist of veneer stone, veneer brick, fiber cement cladding, double-hung windows, and decorative aluminum and glass railings.
